On October 6 – 8, 2008, the AFP Consortium (AFPC) will hold its 11th meeting at the InfoPrint Solutions Company headquarters in Boulder, Colorado. Since its conception in October 2004, the Consortium has grown from 16 to 37 companies from around the world, roughly half of which are headquartered outside the United States. New member companies that have joined since the Consortium’s last meeting in March of 2008 are:

• Intense Technologies (India)
• Assentis (Switzerland)
• Sirius (Brazil)
• doX.at (Austria)
• Sefas Innovation (France)

Discussion topics for the AFPC’s 11th meeting will include:

• Proposed AFP extensions in response to customer requirements
• Strategic discussions on the future direction of AFP
• Position AFP as the premier presentation architecture for variable-data production printing

As part of these and other discussions, the Consortium will address positioning AFP in important industry initiatives such as color and TransPromo.

Focused on the complete Advanced Function Presentation (AFP) architecture, the AFP Consortium is an industry-wide collaboration whose members include both AFP application providers and AFP printer manufacturers.
