Infoprint Solutions Appoints Benoît Chatelard as Senior Vice President and General Manager, EMEA

London, April 2nd 2009

InfoPrint Solutions Company, a joint venture between IBM and Ricoh, today announced that Benoît Chatelard has been appointed senior vice president and general manager, Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Chatelard has worked for InfoPrint Solutions and, formerly, IBM Printing Systems for seven years. He was most recently general manager of the Asia Pacific region after holding the position of vice president of sales for InfoPrint EMEA.

Chatelard will be based in the InfoPrint EMEA regional headquarters in London and will report directly to Tony Romero, CEO, InfoPrint Solutions. Dermot O’Loughlin held this position until his retirement last month after a 36-year career with IBM and InfoPrint Solutions.

“During his tenure in Asia Pacific, Benoît was the driving force behind our outstanding success in the region as we expanded our operations, opening new offices and our Shanghai Printing Innovation Center. His accomplishments include securing InfoPrint’s largest TransPromo deal – a two-billion colour page contract in India," Romero said. “Benoit is an inspiring leader and he brings a wealth of expertise about the EMEA market at a key juncture in InfoPrint’s evolution."

Chatelard joined IBM France in 1986, as sales representative in charge of the Peugeot-Citroën account. He worked with the IBM Process Industry and managed IBM’s Business Partners network in France, South Africa and Central Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMA) before joining IBM Printing Systems Division. A graduate engineer in electronics, Chatelard also has an MBA from the ‘École de Management de Lyon’, France.

“I welcome the opportunity to return to EMEA and work alongside familiar and new customers as they embrace InfoPrint’s innovative solutions, particularly Automated Document Factory (ADF) and TransPromo," Chatelard said. “We are focusing our attention on winning significant market share in countries including UK, France, Germany and Italy by dominating the high-volume colour market. Russia also presents a significant growth opportunity for our business."
